Parking

Parking is available in town for a fee. Distance from the car park approx. 400 m. Access from the car park is via a footpath with attractive views of the castle and the surrounding town.

Accessibility

Barrier-free access is possible in the courtyard of the castle, there is also a toilet.

The main tour circuit is accessible by a wide staircase and contains about 40 steps. In the case of self-service, it can also be completed by a person in a wheelchair. Chairs are available on the tour route, which people with mobility difficulties can use to rest during the tour.

The private room tour involves approximately 200 steps and is not recommended for people with mobility impairments.

It is possible to drive a car in front of the castle by prior arrangement with the castle administration.

Pets

Free movement of dogs and other animals is prohibited in the castle grounds. We ask all dog owners to keep their pets on a leash only in the castle grounds. It is not possible to enter the exhibitions with animals.  Exceptions are assistance and assistance dogs.

Cyclists

A bike rack is available for cyclists in the rear of the courtyard. It is not possible to store bicycles elsewhere. The bike racks are not guarded, and you must have your own tie and lock to secure your bike.
We ask cyclists to be considerate of other visitors and dismount their bikes in the castle grounds.

Child facilities

In the castle there is available changing counter in separate room in ladies´room.

Refreshments

Coffee, beverages, confectionery and frozen products can be purchased in the souvenir shop in the castle courtyard. Tables and benches are available in the courtyard for pleasant seating.
Many restaurants and fast food options can be found around the castle and in the town.
